We’re delighted to announce that Ergro has been appointed to deliver a significant heating plant relocation and reconfiguration project at the University of Surrey in Guildford.
The project, within the AC Lewis Carroll Building, will see our team undertake the relocation of the building’s main heating exchange and pumping systems from their existing mezzanine position to the ground-floor plant room.
The works will include:
🔸 Removal and relocation of the existing pump sets, plate heat exchanger and low-loss header
🔸 Plantroom preparation, including structural strip-out and waterproofing
🔸 Mechanical pipework alterations, extensions and reconnections
🔸 Associated electrical containment and cabling alterations
🔸 Pre- and post-works MTHW system sampling and analysis
🔸 System flushing, dosing and pressure testing
🔸 New thermal insulation to the completed pipework
🔸 Full recommissioning and return of the heating system to operation
🔸 O&M documentation and project handover
The relocation will improve accessibility, operational safety and the long-term serviceability of the building’s critical heating infrastructure, while our team will carefully coordinate the works to ensure a safe and well-managed delivery.
