Stress Awareness at Ergro

April is Stress Awareness Month, and at Ergro – we have always taken pride in our approach to employee mental health and wellbeing.

Many things contribute to increases in our stress levels, from our day-to-day work challenges, to family and relationship responsibilities, health concerns and financial commitments.

This month, we are encouraging all our staff to take a break and have some “me time”, by making the most of our wellbeing gifts being given to every employee. Every member of the Ergro team is receiving 2 x free cinema tickets for themselves and a friend/loved one to take a trip to the ‘flicks’ for a few hours of escapism. They have also each been gifted with a Nuffield Health Club day pass for some unwinding in the gym, pool, sauna/steam rooms.

Everyone who works at Ergro is also provided with ‘Vitality’ insurance cover, enabling them access to private health care for physical and mental health support, as well as extensive reward incentives for healthy living.

As well as all our Managers completing training in Stress Awareness and Mental Health Awareness modules, ensuring that they are equipped with the tools and education needed to be able to recognise any stress or mental health indicators within their teams, we also have a dedicated Mental Health Ambassador for the business – Lesley Hamilton, QSHE Director.

Lesley holds certification for Mental Health First Aid Training, and works with organisations such as the mental health charity – Mind, completing training in Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, Mental Health First Aid for Young Persons, Mental Health in Construction and Health and Stress and Wellbeing training.
