Ergro is excited to announce a new site to our contract portfolio for Camden Council, with the award of both a project AND a maintenance contract, at the Q2 Sports Centre at Kings Cross.
The building, which is shared between the Q2 Sports Centre and the Kings Cross Construction Skills Centre, is undergoing an expansion of use for the sports facilities, which has resulted in Ergro being assigned the task of decommissioning and alterations to existing building services systems.
Our works will include the alteration of the existing VRV Air Conditioning system, removal of selected air conditioning units, removal of ventilation and associated ductwork, removal of public health systems (including WC areas and break out areas), alteration and removal of the Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms and associated electrical services, with several areas of the current requiring demolition and removal works of existing walls and doors.
Alongside this extensive project work, starting from next month, we are also very pleased to be appointed as the provider for all maintenance services at Q2 Sports Centre, including AC, heating, emergency lighting, AHU’s, CCTV, access control, smoke ventilation, fire alarm, mechanical & electrical services.
This iconic building is situated just 3m above the Kings Cross Thameslink railway line, with the foundations consisting of a super-lightweight concrete substructure running perpendicular to the tunnels, and our team are very excited to be working at this impressive facility.
